Description

The Virginia Poison Center is an emergency telephone resource of poisoning information available to the public and health care professionals. Available 24 hours daily, all calls are free and confidential. Registered nurses with special training answer calls. The poison center can help with medicine mistakes, overdoses or reactions; chemicals splashed into eyes or onto skin; bites and stings from insects and snakes; breathing chemical fumes or vapors;swallowing chemical products such as cleaners or other household products.
