Hospital Accompaniment - Ashland, Hanover Safe Place
Hospital accompaniment services are provided to survivors seeking support while at a hospital emergency department for evidence collection or treatment relating to domestic and/or sexual violence. Advocates provide supportive counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, and referral information for additional community resources in the hospital 24/7 in-person or via phone.

The purpose of this organization is to combine efforts of various community agencies and groups in identifying, preventing, and reducing the incidence of domestic violence and sexual assault in Hanover County, and raising public awareness of domestic violence in the Hanover community. Direct services are offered to local victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children.
