Deaf & Hard of Hearing - Charlottesville, Virginia Hearing Aid Loan Bank, University of Virginia Health System
Serves any child under the age of 18 that is a resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia that has been diagnosed with a hearing loss. The purpose of the program is to provide amplification as soon as possible to a child while the family is in the process of obtaining the permanent devices. These are loaner aids that the child can use while getting insurance approval or finding a payment sources. There is no income eligibility. The Virginia Hearing Aid Loaner Bank is housed at UVA.
