A residential school. Offers day school services to a wider cross section of alternative and special education students. Balances career exploration and vocational training with SOL based academic and social growth. In addition to a challenging academic curriculum in the classroom, career trips for students with identified interests are provided regularly. Vocational opportunities resulting in academic credits may be provided for eligible students. And through dual enrollment with Virginia Western Community College and apprenticeship agreements with area businesses, HopeTree Academy students have access to job training in nearly two dozen different career fields. Offers the Individualized Student Alternative Education Program(ISAEP). HopeTree Academy teachers intensify this highly "at-risk" student's preparatory study activities in order to take and pass the GED examinations. Provides a GED program with supplemental vocational training and required academic courses. Educational goals are based on the Virginia Standards of Learning, and HopeTree Academy is interdepartmentally licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and accredited through Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Educational Facilities (VAISEF).
