Represents The Child and Family Division of the Department of Psychiatric Medicine which provides a wide array of services to children, adolescents and their families. Evaluation and treatment services are available for adjustment issues (e.g. divorce, school problems), behavior difficulties, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety and depression, eating disorders and other mental health needs of children, adolescents and their families. Provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment of the emotional and behavioral disorders found in children and adolescents. Available services may include individual therapy, play therapy, behavioral management, family therapy, group therapy, parent training, psychopharmacology, and neuropsychological testing depending on the needs of each patient. Consultation services are also available to Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Hospital (KCRC), Children's Medical Center at the UVA Main Hospital, and via Telemedicine to rural areas of Virginia. Faculty and trainees are involved in an active learning and research environment. Components include: The Child and Family Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, The Under Fives Study Center, The UVA Parent-Child Attachment Clinic, and the Child and Adolescent Neuropsychology Testing Service.
