Legal Assistance - Lexington, Community Legal Practice Center, Washington and Lee University Community
Provides free legal advice/representation. Main focus is on the elderly (individuals over age 60) and victims of domestic violence who are residents of Rockbridge County. The CLPC will, however, consider client needs outside these areas in exceptional circumstances. The Community Legal Practice Center will assist victim of domestic violence clients with the full range of legal issues the client presents, including, but not limited to: * Orders of Protection * Civil and Financial Matters * Custody and Visitation * Separation * Child support * Divorce * Selected Maintenance Claims * Public Benefits Problems * Housing Issues The Community Legal Practice Center will assist elderly clients with the full range of legal issues the client presents, including, but not limited to: * Advanced Medical Directives * Civil and Financial Matters * Wills * Trusts * Family Matters * Benefit Eligibility and Applications * Public Benefits Problems * Housing Issues
