Domestic Violence Services - Gate City, Hope House of Scott County
Provides speakers to agencies, community groups and schools on topics about domestic violence, sexual assault, programs and services provided by Hope House of Scott County, and opportunities for community involvement. Support groups available for shelter residents and their children as well as community support groups and children impacted by domestic violence in the home. Emergency temporary shelter for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in imminent danger due to the domestic violence and sexual assault. Minor children of survivors are eligible to come to the emergency shelter along with their parents. Outreach services provided to survivors living in the community. Comprehensive advocacy services include information and referral, assistance navigating public assistance systems, safety panning, assistance with emergency needs, court advocacy, accompaniment services, crisis intervention, and services needed to move toward a life free from violence.
