Application process
Application required. Visit website to apply or for more information. Starting in July we will post dates for you to come to the store and apply in-person. Applications will start being reviewed in July and will continue throughout the year until the last few days during our December Store Week. If you apply online, you will receive an email if you are approved or declined. If approved, your shopping time slot will be sent to your email address. If it is declined, you will be given the reason. If you believe there is a mistake, we will be happy to discuss it with you and make corrections if necessary. When you apply in person at one of our appplication events, a volunteer will give you a time slot to shop or explain why if you are declined. If you would you like our outreach team to visit your neighborhood and help with shopping applications fill out our contact us form online and we can schedule a time.

Description
Assists low-income families in Montgomery County during the Christmas season by providing a shopping experience characterized by choice and dignity. Priority is given to families with children. Use volunteers and accepts tax deductible donations. Accepts donations of: * New winter items for babies and toddlers * Food (Non-perishable) * New warm clothing for children, teens and adults * Christmas wrapping paper, bows, ribbon & tape * New children's books, Christmas cards, postage stamps * Toys * Used books * Small gifts suitable for mom and dad from their children Does NOT accept summer clothing/shoes, used household item (furniture, appliance, etc.) Monetary donations can be mailed to: Montgomery County Christmas Store P.O. Box 6154, Christiansburg, VA 24068 Donations of goods will be accepted in Christiansburg: 30 W. Main St. (old Heilig-Meyers Store).
