Several individuals have obtained employment with the work site after their community service was completed. Home Electronic Monitoring (HEM) also helps prevent overcrowding in jails. Individuals are on house arrest with a perimeter, and staff can monitor their activity 24/7/365. Their location is tracked every 2 minutes. This service is used with individuals on bond prior to their hearing. The program also offers classes on the following topics: Shoplifting Diversion, Anger Management, Alcohol Education and Substance Abuse Education. The majority of participants are court-ordered to attend the classes, but participants can attend voluntarily. The Substance Abuse Education class has 12 sessions, while the remaining three classes are one-day sessions. This program also offers a for-profit drug screening service for businesses, jails, schools, etc. They can use Dept. of Transportation (DOT) or non-DOT screens.
