Health insurance is important to make sure that kids are able to get all the help they need to grow up healthy. FAMIS stands for Family Access to Medical Insurance Security. Virginia's health insurance programs include: *FAMIS - the Children's Health Insurance Program; *FAMIS MOMS - for pregnant women; *FAMIS Select - Insurance Premium Assistance Program. *Smiles For Children - provides dental services for children enrolled in FAMIS or FAMIS Plus.
