Group Home - Portsmouth, Westhaven Boys Home, Tidewater Youth Services Commission
Provides a residential group home for boys, ages 12 to 17. The home serves as a post-dispositional/longer term treatment center and as a pre-dispositional detention alternative/emergency shelter for foster children or teens in crisis. Services within the home include individual and family counseling; aggression replacement training; specialized groups; post release transition services; academic support/literacy services; and recreational and pro-social activities.
