Juvenile Detention Center - Richmond, Richmond Department of Justice Services
The Richmond Juvenile Detention Center (RJDC) is a secure facility which serves both males and females in the service area of the City of Richmond. The facility is designed to provide safe temporary custody of pre-dispositional residents who are accused of conduct subject to the jurisdiction of the court, pending adjudication and/or disposition of charges placed against them. The Richmond Juvenile Detention Center provides a wide range of helpful services that support the resident's physical, emotional, mental and social development. Additional services include, but are not limited to: education, recreation, counseling, nutrition, medical/health care services, reading, visitation, communication and continuous supervision of residents.
