An Achievable Dream is a nationally recognized educational nonprofit dedicated to the belief that all children can learn and succeed. Co-operating schools in partnership with public school districts in Newport News, Virginia Beach, and Henrico County, Virginia, An Achievable Dream works to level the playing field for students in under-served communities by providing additional tools and opportunities to equip students for success. An Achievable Dream develops independent, productive citizens through a Social, Academic, and Moral Education (SAME®). The public school systems provide instructional and support elements common to all city schools, including basic curriculum and staffing, student services, transportation, food service, and maintenance. An Achievable Dream, Inc., a 501(c)(3) raises funds for and operates additional components that contribute significantly to the programs’ effectiveness. The faculty and staff go beyond academics to provide students with a well-rounded education through the comprehensive SAME (social, academic and moral education) curriculum, state-of-the-art technology, and extensive extracurricular, experiential and cultural activities.
