Probation Program - Portsmouth, Challenge Outreach for Youth, Tidewater Youth Services Commission

Provides an alternative to secure detention homes or youth crisis shelter. The program is an in-home monitoring program for adolescents which includes electronic monitoring; drug testing; using laboratory confirmed urine drug screens, curfew monitoring; 24 hour a day counselor availability for crisis intervention; and face to face client contacts at a minimum of three to four hours per week in the home and community.

Application process

Must be referred by Juvenile Courts, Social Services, or Family Assessment and Planning Teams in the Hampton Roads Area.
