Grocery Delivery Program - Alexandria, Senior Services of Alexandria

Through the Groceries to Go Program, screened volunteers deliver groceries to seniors every two weeks. Groceries are ordered based off the grocery recipient's personal shopping list. Volunteers call program recipients to get their individual orders. There are no minimum order requirements and no delivery fee.

Call for Information: Client pays for the cost of groceries with credit/debit card on file with SSA or with SNAP EBT card. There is no delivery fee or minimum order

Senior Services of Alexandria (SSA) is a non-profit organization that has as its mission, “to foster independence and self-sufficiency, enabling seniors within the City of Alexandria to age with dignity.” SSA operates the Meals on Wheels delivery program, a fee-free Groceries to Go service, a Friendly Visitor Program; AniMeals; DOT Paratransit transportation; and Education and Information programs including monthly webinars and the Senior Ambassador Program.
