Application process
Applications are accepted Monday and Tuesday only at 10 AM serving the first 6 people. Must apply, in person, in the Emergency Financial Aid office. Requires documentation: Photo ID for all over 18, Social Security Cards for all in household, proof of income, copies of ALL expenses, and a copy of the lease or mortgage. Applications can take 3 to 5 days to process. Utility bills must be in the name of someone on the lease and cannot be older or off more than 30 days.

Description
Provides emergency financial assistance once every twelve months with utility disconnect bills, rent eviction or 5 day pay or quit notices, and prescriptions. Any resident outside of Southwest or Northwest Roanoke City will need to obtain a referral from an agency in their area of residence. Does NOT offer assistance with Oxford House rents.
