Families in medical crisis who live 30 miles away or further and who receive a referral from one of our referring partners.

Application process

Guests are referred from physicians, staff and social workers from area hospitals.

Fees

Auxiliary Grants, Medicaid We ask for a $15 a night donation per guest. Max $45 per night per room.

Description

The Doorways provides housing and support for patients and/or family members who must travel to Richmond to receive medical care at a participating hospital. With the exception of transplant patients awaiting a transplant, the House is not intended to serve as a long term or permanent residence for those who require on-going maintenance therapies.
