The Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) program helps the service members and veterans of Washington, DC and in certain counties of Virginia and Maryland, who have service-connected disabilities by offering them services and assistance to help them prepare for, find, and keep suitable employment. For veterans with serious service-connected disabilities, VA also offers a program of services to improve their ability to live as independently as possible.
