Has four Divisions - Patrol, Communications, Criminal Investigations and the Office of the Sheriff. The Sheriff of Wise County, as in all counties in Virginia, is elected for a term of four years. The Sheriff and his staff are available to all citizens of Wise County and the City of Norton 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
