Program areas include adult athletics, aquatics, environmental education, outdoor adventure, outdoor recreation events, personal enrichment, travel, youth athletics, and youth development. Offers online classes for adults interested in lifelong learning and continuing education. After-School P.L.A.Y. provides a place for children to get homework assistance, enrichment activities, structured recreation, and general after school care. The department administers the VHD Summer Food Program, a service that provides a healthy breakfast and lunch.
