Provides afternoon meals and snacks for under-privileged school-aged children in a safe learning environment. Also offers nutrition education and enrichment activities such as tutoring and mentoring.
Offers a nutritious noon meal and socialization in group settings at 12 sites throughout the service area. Diners meet at a central location to enjoy an interesting activity or program, a hot nutritious lunch, and the company of others. There is no cost, but donations are accepted. Transportation to Diners Clubs is provided by RADAR in the Roanoke Valley at no cost to the participant.
Provides lunch at the church for indigent persons who are hungry. The First Baptist Church Soup Kitchen serves lunch to various members of the community, including those who are homeless. Call for more information.

Serves free hot evening meals to homeless individuals and families every night, 52 weeks a year, and on Sunday mornings.
Provides food, clothing, hygiene supplies, living necessities, medical care, dental care and shelter for individuals that are homeless in need. All help subject to volunteer and donation levels, but will help as possible.

CVACL's Education and Nutrition Sites provide hot, nutritionally balanced meals for older adults in a local group setting. Meetings include educational presentations and discussions, health screenings, adapted exercise sessions, recreational activities, artistic and cultural programming, and social events. Van transportation is provided for participants needing assistance traveling to and from the site or its events, as well as for occasional group trips to grocery stores, pharmacies, and local shopping. As part of CVACL's "wraparound" services, each site member is assigned a Care Manager to provide needs assessments, referrals, and follow-up.
Now known as the VPAS Cafe', this service provides recreation, socialization, education and a hot noon meal. Provides an access point for seniors to other Valley Program for Aging Services.

Operates in centers throughout the area that serve a hot nutritious noontime meal and provide a variety of activities designed to enhance the health and wellbeing of older adults. Each congregate nutrition center is part of the MEOC Wellness Is Now or "WIN" initiative and maintains a focus on disease prevention/health promotion by offering a low impact exercise program, health screenings, nutrition and health education, as well as, music, storytelling, quilting, crafts, games and recreational outings.
