The Office of Early Childhood Programs provides leadership and coordination of the Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) programs in school-based classrooms and in community-based child development programs. The office staff provides professional learning opportunities to build the capacity of early childhood teachers, instructional assistants, and administrators to meet the developmental needs of children across all domains and provides community outreach and support for young learners and their families. The Office of Early Childhood Programs also serves as the liaison for Early Head Start and Head Start programs.
Provide activities to help three- and four-year-old children become problem solvers and develop a love of lifelong learning. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children develop a variety of skills and knowledge in areas like early literacy, mathematics, science, Spanish and social skills. License by the through Virginia Department of Social Services. NAEYC Accredited.
Offers diversified opportunities for children to develop positive feelings and attitudes about themselves and others. It is our goal to help families develop happy, adjusted, secure individuals in a climate of freedom, with discipline and affection. CCS is a Virginia Star-Quality Rated Childcare Center.
Provide experiences that will help children mature spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically and socially in a Christian atmosphere. Children will be led to a sense of independence, initiative and competence.
Preschool program has a full day classroom.

YWCA Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virgina is partnered with Ballad Health Systems to operate the Child Development Center on the campus of the Bristol Regional Medical Center. It was designed to serve the children of Ballad healthcare workers, however, additional openings are often available to parents in need of extended-hour child care within our community.

The Sprout School provides a full or part-day, high-quality early childhood education for toddlers and young children ages 3 through 5 years. Full day, preschool programming with services available for homeless children. Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), 3 Star Rated by Virginia's QRIS, and licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services.
The Randolph College Nursery School, located on Randolph's campus, offers a preschool curriculum open to ages 3-5.
Each individual program consists of a complete system of teaching practices, defined curriculum content areas for each topic and age group, assessment tools, and a training model. The practices and content are flexible by design, easily adapted to individual needs and institutional requirements.
RHCDC offers Preschool for children ages three through Pre-K and After-School Care, Summer Camp and Drop-In Care programs for school age students in the cities of Roanoke and Salem, Roanoke County and local private schools. Small class and group sizes allow staff to spend more individualized time with students.

Preschool program runs concurrent with the Augusta County school calendar and is a full day program, 5 days a week except for one Friday of each month. This Friday is used for screenings, teacher trainings and home visits. Assessments for math and literacy are completed three times throughout the year to track students' progress and ensure preparedness for kindergarten. Family Service Workers work with every family to provide support outside of the classroom and to foster a positive relationship with schools. Virginia Star-Quality Rated Center

Heritage Child Development operates a preschool for ages 2 1\2 through 5 years of age and a before & after school program through 5th grade. We operate year round, with a full time summer schedule for preschool through elementary 5th grade. Heritage Child Development Center is a private non-profit Christian Ministry of Culpeper Assembly of God.
