Provides confidential tutoring and classes, including remote services, for adults, free of charge with a one-time registration fee, using trained instructors and volunteers. One-to-one tutoring is available for any adult who wants to improve his or her literacy ability. This program serves both non-native English speakers and native-English speakers. ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes are available for non-native English speakers. We offer three levels of English classes (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced), as well as specialized classes and citizenship classes throughout the year.
BEACON offers in-person English and Citizenship classes both in the morning and in the evening. Classes are 12 weeks and site locations include: Bethel Lutheran Church, Manassas Presbyterian Church, Manassas Baptist Church, and Manassas Park Community Center. Students must come to an in-person registration to enroll in online classes.
SLC connects volunteer tutors with adult students who wish to improve their reading skills. The council trains and supports tutors as well as trains and supports students.

An adult education center that provides classes and tutoring to adult learners seeking to improve basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Additional classes: computer, GED prep, English for speakers of other languages, and weekly job seeker workshops. All services are fee free and confidential.

Helps adults with limited educational opportunities to reach their individual goals and potential as workers, citizens and family members by providing quality adult education services throughout the region. Offers Adult Education to help adults improve reading, writing and math skills to help them qualify for a better job, improve family resources or begin working toward the GED credential. Provides Workplace Literacy classes on site for business and industry. The curriculum is custom designed to meet the needs of the employer and the employee. Also provides a Family Literacy program to help parents in the role as their child's first teacher. Serves the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, Warren and the City of Winchester.

The approach encapsulates a broader understanding of literacy that encompasses both general English-based literacy skills with complex health-related information.

Extends programs throughout the school year with The Reading Adventure Program(RAP). Aspire Connect 2016 students participate in an after school program where reading enrichment is the core focus. The Environmental Education Center offers programs to community groups. Facilities available in non-summer months for rental for corporate conferences, retreats, group adventures, and special event rentals. The Children's Book Bank helps to ensure that all children have quality books in their home, have the pride of book ownership, and have opportunities to read and be read to. The Book Bank program supports school readiness and literacy development in children and enables community partners to better support our children through the gift of like-new books. Provides general education services for grades K through 12 and special education services for ages two to 21. Provides GED classes an examinations where appropriate. Summer school is offered.
