Blue Ridge Care Connection for Children serves children from birth to the age of twenty-one with special health care needs. Provides care coordination, including referral to health care services, case management and referrals to community support and resources. Maintains a database of regional and local resources for children with special health care needs. Financial assistance may be available to assist with specialty medical care, funds are available, if income and medical criteria are met. Coordination of care and services are provided by case managers - registered nurses, social workers, community resource coordinators, educational consultant, and parent resource coordinator. Assist families to participate in the planning and decision-making about their child's services and plan for the child's future. Our educational consultant support the child and families with educational needs and facilitates relationships with the child's school. Our Parent Resource Coordinator provides a network of experienced parents and other family caregivers of children with special health care needs that for the parent to parent support. One of the centers in the statewide network of Centers of Excellence for Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN). Each center serves a large geographic area and provides leadership in the enhancement of specialty medical care and Medical Home, assistance coordinating care and services, assistance in obtaining health insurance for the child, information and referral to community resources, Family-to-Family support, and training and consultation with community providers on CSHCN issues.
Services include interdisciplinary diagnostic assessment by a team of physician, nurse, social worker, educational consultant, and psychologist, diagnosis, care planning, and care coordination.
Provides examinations needed for school admission (primary school, college, and special programs).
Provides environmental and health services for area residents. This includes well and septic permits, food safety inspections, family planning, STD treatments, immunizations, communicable disease investigations, HIV/AIDS testing, care and supportive services, and women, infants and children (WIC) nutrition services.

Physicals required for school entry are provided to those indigent children without any other resource. This includes a consultation with a nurse, blood check, physical examinations and vaccines as needed. Referrals to Medicaid and FAMIS, a state funded insurance program are provided.
Offers Pediatric Well Child examinations, including but not limited to school entrance, pre participation (sports) physicals, etc.
Speech-language screenings are available to schools, daycare providers, or other organizations. Screenings are performed in order to ascertain if a communication problem exists and to answer questions regarding speech/ language/hearing concerns.
Provides a private, non-profit health provider offering residents all phases of family practice medical care, lab service, dental services and behavioral health care.

Infants and children are provided periodic comprehensive medical examinations, immunizations to prevent childhood infectious diseases, developmental screenings, lead screening, parental education regarding nutrition, safety, and health, and referrals to other agencies. Case management services are offered to high-risk infants and children.

Psychological Services Center (PSC) is a comprehensive community based counseling center. We provide a full range of individual and family counseling services geared towards providing affordable and professional mental health care for children and adolescents. We also provide state of the art assessments and treatments for children, adolescents and adults that may have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, conduct disorder, learning disorder, autism. We provide both short- and long-term therapy on an outpatient basis. The Clinic provides Assessment through diagnostic and psychological evaluations for infants/toddlers, children, adolescents, and adults who are suspected to have an Autism Spectrum Disorder, including Autism, Asperger Syndrome, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder NOS.
