Cancer patients referred to STAR Program are working with specially trained occupational, physcial and speech therapists, nurses, exercise specialists, and dieticians to address unique health and quality of life issues of people who are undergoing treatment or living with unresolved problems from cancer treatment. Problems incude: pain, weakness, fatigue, balance problems, weight loss, lack of appetite, speech or swallowing issues and lymphedema.
Case management and care coordination services with independent, private specialists and practitioners regardless of a family's income. Provides a "pool of funds" for uninsured and underinsured children with special health care needs. The CHKD Care Connection for Children pulls together case managers, medical personnel, educators and family members to determine how children with special health care needs - those with chronic physical disorders that are expected to last for at least 12 months - can reach their maximum potential.

Offers in-patient rehab after a hospital stay, long term nursing care, a SECURED memory care unit and a respite care program for family care givers. In house rehabilitation services offered include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. We have a staff psychologist and a visiting psychiatrist to address mental health needs of our residents. OSW offers in patient visits with a wound care physician as well as a staff wound nurse.
