The AbilityOne program provides employment opportunities for individuals who are blind or have documented disabilities by delivering products and services to the federal government. These individuals are considered ready to work in a fully-integrated work setting, but need a supportive work environment and a low level of supervision.

Provides evaluation services to determine eligibility including eye, hearing and general medical and other evaluations as needed. Individualized programs are developed to assist visually impaired individuals with obtaining or retaining employment. Medicaid Waiver programming at Goodwill focuses on providing supports to individuals so they may achieve their personal goals and objectives. The programs operate in accordance with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensing regulations. Individuals receive services both in the Goodwill center and community based settings depending on their preference and interests. Discovery Services are Day Support programs at Goodwill. Through the programs, individuals will receive the support they need to acquire, retain, and improve their skills in areas that they have identified. A wide variety of opportunities, in both community and center based settings, for peer interactions, enhancement of social networks, and to build natural supports will lead to greater independence. Individuals enrolled in Discovery Services may participate in Group Day Support, Community Engagement, or Community Coaching services. Programing is offered at the Roanoke Jobs Campus, Radford Jobs Campus, and Rocky Mount Jobs Campus. Individuals living in Goodwill's 31 counties and 13 cities service area are eligible for services, however are responsible for their own transportation.

Specializes in group and individual vocational evaluation, training and support to work at businesses in the local community. ECHO specializes in providing community-based group supported employment (GSE) which maximizes each participant's opportunities in accordance with their interests. Individuals work in small groups with on-site support at businesses in the local community. ECHO also offers Individualized Supported Employment (ISE), to assist participants to secure employment through coaching, individualized support and training.

Provides sheltered employment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Works closely with the Department of Rehabilitation Services. Employment opportunities include off-site contracts in janitorial services and lawn maintenance, and on-site contracts with recycling, sorting hardware, collating documents, and packaging meals for shipping.
