A group of volunteers providing regular open visitation hours to the public in hopes of increasing the chances that the shelter animals of Giles County will be adopted instead of euthanized. The Giles County Animal Shelter is under jurisdiction of Giles County Sheriff Department. Volunteers at the shelter at the invitation of the Giles County Board of Supervisors, the Sheriff's Dept and Giles County Animal Control. Offers low cost spay/neuter and placement services for pets. Harmony Rescue is a safe haven environment for domestic animals needing extra care, and serves as an extension of other non-profit animal organizations promoting the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Provides animal shelter services including adoptions, lost and found, requests for literature, reports of cruelty and injuries that we direct to animal control; educational activities including informal activities, low cost spay/neuter, wildlife referral, disaster services and the presentation of movies, filmstrip, etc., to school classes.
