Provides services to help prevent and treat Intellectual Disabilities and to enhance the quality of life of individuals who experience these conditions in the Cities of Buena Vista and Lexington and the Counties of Rockbridge and Bath, Virginia by providing individualized treatments, establishing and expanding programs and support systems, and promoting integration into the community. Offers group homes and adult day activities programs to enhance the quality of life for adults with intellectual disabilities by providing comprehensive support services.

Adult Day Programs
A center and community based program for people with intellectual disabilities that serves ages 12 years through adulthood. Provides supports, as identified in Individual Support Plans, to increase socialization, adaptive skills, communication, and more through the use of community resources (field trips, volunteer opportunities, etc) and center-based activities (arts and crafts, personal hygiene education, horticulture, etc.).

Center-based support provides training in academic skills, sensory stimulation, community integration, computer training and internet guided access, healthy life style, safety, recreational,and daily living skills in classroom and community settings. Individuals are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of activities which increase or maintain physical abilities. Offers a Developmental Day Support Program to individuals who need additional assistance in developing independence in the activities of daily living. The target population for the program will be those individuals with developmental disabilities who fall within the severe to profound range of Intellectual Disability. Provide an array of outpatient services for individuals age 18+ with mental illness, substance abuse disorders and intellectual disabilities. Services include psychiatric treatment, medication management, case management, in-home services, psychosocial clubhouse, and peer support. Hazelwood House is a state licensed adult day health care (ADHC) center that provides services and opportunities for older adults and for adults with special needs in Mecklenburg and Brunswick counties.
Provides day care and supervision of people in early, middle and late stages of Alzheimer's, dementia, and other memory or cognitive impairments with the goal of providing opportunities for mental stimulation, social interaction, and organized participation in life's daily activities. Offers social programs and engaging activities, meals, snacks, and assistance with personal care and medication administration.
Provides an adult day care center that offers a friendly and stimulating environment for adults unable to be alone during the day. Participants enjoy the company of other adults, the support of a skilled nursing staff, and the joy of visiting children. Adult day care fills the gap between being home alone and nursing home placement. It supports families by maintaining dependent adults at home. Participants have the opportunity to retain the highest level of independence.
Medicaid Waiver programming at Goodwill focuses on providing supports to individuals so they may achieve their personal goals and objectives. The programs operate in accordance with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensing regulations. Individuals receive services both in the Goodwill center and community based settings depending on their preference and interests. Discovery Services are Day Support programs at Goodwill. Through the programs, individuals will receive the support they need to acquire, retain, and improve their skills in areas that they have identified. A wide variety of opportunities, in both community and center based settings, for peer interactions, enhancement of social networks, and to build natural supports will lead to greater independence. Individuals enrolled in Discovery Services may participate in Group Day Support, Community Engagement, or Community Coaching services. Programing is offered at the Roanoke Jobs Campus, Radford Jobs Campus, and Rocky Mount Jobs Campus. Individuals living in Goodwill's 31 counties and 13 cities service area are eligible for services, however are responsible for their own transportation.

VersAbility Resources offers day support programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at three separate locations and the Lewis B. Puller Center provides long-term employment and training as well.
This program provides weekday services for adults with disabilities who need support for activities of daily living. Community activities are an integral part of the program.

Didlake Day Support Services provide opportunities for people with disabilities to optimize their personal, social, and vocational skills. Our services focus on personal growth and learning to help each individual live a full, responsible, productive life. Programs Community Engagement The Community Engagement program provides opportunities for participants to directly interact with people who do not have disabilities in naturally occurring community settings. While in the community, program participants are supported and encouraged to learn and understand how to successfully engage in each activity with the goal of developing interdependent relationships. Group Day The Group Day Program provides on- and off-site activities that teach individuals to be independent, healthy, and active participants at home and in the community. Didlake work with each participant to develop and meet their specific needs and goals. On-site activities provide opportunities for individuals to participate in wellness-focused classes on exercise, cooking, personal hygiene, and safety. Programs also offer personal growth activities to build communication, socialization, behavior management, self-advocacy, technology, and literacy skills.

Offers a program that provides functionally and/or health impaired persons with social and related support services in a protective setting on a one-to-one basis offering health monitoring, individual care plans, personal assistance with activities of daily living, and scheduled group activities. Attendant services available only at day care center. Participants must provide their own transportation.
Meadowcreek Day Activity provides training and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities to acquire, improve and maintain functional abilities, while also achieving social integration with peers and the community. Meadowcreek Day Support provides opportunities for individuals to pursue personal interests and strengths in the community through art, music, technology, self-advocacy, and wellness. Meadowcreek coordinates with a variety of community-based services, including Charlottesville Parks & Recreation, Access Arts, Madison House, Meals On Wheels, Best Buddies, and Salvation Army.

Offers a combination of educational and recreational activities for persons with severe disabilities. Community integration is a major focus of this program and frequent field trips are sponsored.

Day support program for severely handicapped persons 18 years of age and over. This includes blind, deaf, cerebral palsy and multi-handicapped persons.
The purpose of Adult Day Services is to serve adults 18 years and older in a daytime setting. These participants may require supervision during the day for many reasonsto include but not limited to, risk for falling, medical supervision, medication administration, increasing activity level, supervision for safety, re-direction, assistance with activities of daily living, etc. During the day, the participants will be served a morning and an afternoon snack, as well as, a hot noon meal. There will be scheduled activities throughout the day. Participants will be encouraged to participate to their individual potential. The center will serve people with a variety of difficulties to include those with Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, stroke, trouble ambulating, etc.
