After School Program - Blacksburg, YMCA of Virginia Tech

The YMCA provides after school care from 3pm-5:30pm at the Blacksburg Middle School in Community Room #2, Mon-Friday during the school semester. WHEN: After school from 3:00-5:30pm, five days a week! Open on Early Release Days! WHERE: A community room on the BMS campus, with physical activity outside COST: $10 per day for each student, $50 a week. The YMCA at Virginia Tech is committed to youth development. Since 1873, the YMCA at VT has served the youth of the NRV through school and enrichment programs that foster mentoring relationships, encourage the youth, and teach academics, health, and sustainability. WHO: RCPS elementary school students WHEN: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:15-6:00 p.m. Thursday 12:30 – 6:00 p.m. WHERE: Belle Heth Elementary School Students attending McHarg Elementary will be bussed by RCPS to Belle Heth There is no bus service home at the end of the program, so students will need to be picked up from Belle Heth

After School Program - Roanoke, Pathways for Youth, Presbyterian Community Center

After-school program for children in grades K-12. Provides tutoring, homework assistance, music lessons, field trips, parent education and a reading enrichment program. Teachers, counselors and volunteer tutors work with each child daily. Individual and family counseling is available on-site through a partnership with Family Service of Roanoke Valley. Volunteer mentors from community churches, businesses and civic organizations provide support, friendship and act as positive role models to enrolled children.
