The Refugee Resettlement program main goal is to provide for the effective resettlement of the refugees / entrants and to aid their economic and social adjustment in order to promote self-sufficiency. The date of entry, month and year a person entered the U.S. is used to determine whether an individual is eligible for refugee assistance and how long he / she may receive assistance from refugee programs.
