Region Ten provides a variety of mental health services to meet the needs of our community. Services are provided for all age groups and are provided on an individual, group, or family basis. Services are also available at numerous locations across our catchment area to those experiencing mental health challenges and who may also have issues with substance use. Mental Health Services are strength-based, recovery-oriented services designed to evaluate and treat the mental health challenges that individuals may experience during their lifetime.

Provides a wide range of counseling services including public education and awareness for health, guidance and family counseling, marital/couple counseling, individual counseling, mutual support/self-help groups, public education and awareness augmentation.

Family Support Groups (FSG) are support groups for family members and friends of individuals living with a mental health condition. NAMI Northern Virginia offers 15 groups that meet virtually once or twice per month across Northern Virginia. Provides a recovery support. NAMI We Care Augusta supports recovery by providing hope, encouragement and support to the community, including mental health services to consumers and family members. The group also provides education regarding symptoms, current treatment and therapies, community resources and alternative approaches to mental health. Free monthly educational meetings and family support group sessions are offered. Issues of awareness of mental health issues and reducing stigma are promoted through participation in community events.

A day support program, which enhances independent living skills and maximizes opportunities for community integration. Activities include life skills groups, support groups, recreation and socialization opportunities. The supported employment program provides employment services designed to teach the basic work habits necessary to be successful in obtaining and maintaining employment.

Consumer-run peer support facility is provided for people with a history of mental illness or a current mental health diagnosis in support of their recovery efforts. Services include peer support, advocacy, education, socialization and recreational opportunities.

Offers outpatient mental health services for individuals age 18+ which include crisis intervention, case management, medication monitoring, outpatient counseling, re-socialization, early intervention, and community and in-home mental health support services. Provides a psychosocial Day Support program at Community House in Winchester for persons with serious and persistent mental illness. Also provides special transportation services for clients. The Page County Clinic is a satellite office of the Shenandoah County Clinic and as such, it is part of the Adult Regional Center serving the counties of Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, Warren, Clarke and the City of Winchester. Free non-therapeutic, professionally facilitated support groups for both adults and teens suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar, and suicide loss.

JSSA offers a variety of workshops and support groups for individuals struggling with social, emotional, and physical challenges. These programs include life skills workshops, social skills groups, and bereavement support groups.

Provides an array of outpatient services for individuals age 18+ with mental illness, substance abuse disorders and intellectual disabilities. Services include psychiatric treatment, medication management, individual and group counseling, case management, in-home services, psychosocial clubhouse, and peer support. Provides a support group for persons in Co Dependent relationships. Co Dependents Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women whose common problem is an inability to maintain functional relationships.

A social drop-in center (no appointment needed) for mental health consumers. Provides a safe, consumer run alternative for the purpose of socialization, self help, advocacy, recreation and education. Operates primarily during the time traditional providers of mental-health services are closed. Employs consumers of mental health services as staff with the belief that they can provide services for individuals, making their own lives more productive and meaningful, while enriching the lives of others. Sponsors support groups such as the Peer Support Group, Veteran's Support Group, Wellness Recovery Action Plan Workshops, Codependents Anonymous, Music Group, and Dual Recovery Anonymous; a 12-step program for people with both substance abuse and mental health issues. Provides activities such as bingo, chess and checkers, cook outs, karaoke, holiday activities and more. Veterans Group on Mondays at 1pm.

Provides intake, mental health case management, intellectual and developmental disability case management, and outpatient psychiatric appointments for adults and youth.

Valley Health Senior Structured Outpatient Program is medically supervised and tailored to meet the needs of older adults requiring behavioral health treatment and extra support is required. Most therapy sessions will be in group format,although individual and family therapy can be provided if clinically indicated. These groups are facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor and under the supervision of a board certified psychiatrist. Offers support groups and classes at no charge for those with a mental health condition and their family members.

Provides full range of behavioral health services including Inpatient Mental Health Unit, Partial Hospitalization Program, Outpatient Appointments for Individual, Family and Group Therapy. Provides mental health counseling to residents of Waynesboro, Staunton and Augusta. A sliding scale fee is available for all clients, based on the client's family income and number of dependents. Most health insurances are also accepted. Individual, couples, marital, and family counseling is provided for a wide variety of presenting issues: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, domestic violence, social and emotional difficulties, sexual abuse and recovery, career change and job stress, grief and loss, child and adolescent concerns, LGBQT+ issues, coping with life transitions, anger management, family and parenting concerns, and more.

Clinicians provide assessment, diagnosis, counseling, psychiatry crisis, peer support, and case management services. Referrals are made within RACS (such as to the psychiatrist) or to other professionals as necessary. RACS offers Emergency Services including: 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Services, Crisis Counseling, and Inpatient substance use treatment referrals; Mental/Behavioral Health Services for Adult & Children including: Case Management, Group Therapy, Individual Counseling, Intensive Care Coordination, Peer Support (Veteran/Family), Psychiatry, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Therapeutic Day Treatment; Developmental Support Services including: Adult day support programming, Adult group homes, Early Intervention, Support Coordination; Substance Use Disorder Services including: Case Management, Group Therapy, Medication Assisted Treatment, Peer Support; and Prevention Services including: Community Coalition work, Lock and Talk - suicide prevention, Medication storage & disposal resources, school-based education programming, and trainings: Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, SafeTALK, REVIVE, Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.

NAMI Family Support Group is a peer-led support group for family members, caregivers and loved ones of individuals living with mental illness. Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar circumstances.

Provides comprehensive mental health services to residents of Central Virginia. Psychological intervention services, including therapy and consultation, are available for children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. The center also offers comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations, including (but not limited to) assessment of learning and attention deficit disorders. Assessment services are available to all ages. A sliding scale is available for therapy services.

Provide face to face or telephone response to individuals and families experiencing crisis, or to an involved party who is concerned about the person in crisis. Emergency Services team is comprised of state certified, licensed and experienced clinicians who are available on the Eastern Shore 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
