To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy body, mind and spirit for all. The YMCA offers activities and programs for people of all ages. No one is turned away because they cannot pay. Programs provided are wellness programs include cardiovascular conditioning and strength training, aerobic and yoga classes, water fitness, swim lessons and programs for active older adults.

YMCA Before- and After-School Child Care is designed for children in kindergarten through middle school. Programs complement and enhance formal education, and provide learning opportunities that build relationships, develop character and inspire discovery to help foster your child's academic success.
Serves the community with programs and activities that emphasize character development. Programs include After School, Summer Camp, Gymnastics, Group Fitness Classes, Health and Wellness, Youth Programming, Childwatch, Personal Training and Nutritional Consultation.

The YMCA of Greater Richmond put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
YMCA offers a large variety of Exercise Classes for adults and seniors as well as for different fitness levels.
Half-day programs are offered for children ages 2-5. Based on the Creative Curriculum, these programs address social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development, embracing hands-on learning through play. Structured activities help children bond with peers and caring adults while they prepare for kindergarten.

The YMCA focuses on Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. Provide childcare to families whose children might otherwise be in self care or be responsible for the care of younger siblings while at home. Promote emotional, social, and intellectual growth to all children enrolled in the program. Programs consist of Before & After school, Summer Camp, Holiday Camp,Fun Days (out-of-school days) and any inclement weather days for children ages 5-12. Financial assistance is available to those who cannot afford these programs. Licensed childcare provider.

The YMCA of Greater Richmond provides teens with programming the focuses on community service, social development, leadership training, and physical development. Some of our programs include Teen Leaders Club, Youth Enrichment Program (YEP), along with a variety of other programs.

Association of men, women, and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility. Providing services as physical fitness, childcare and more.
YMCA Day Camp with activities including swimming, arts and crafts, games, nature exploration, sports, songs, field trips and much more. The program stresses socialization, self-confidence, self-awareness and teaches skills. Campers are divided into groups according to their grade.

School based service clubs, known as Hi-Y and youth and government. Model general assembly 3 - 4 day event at State Capitol, students debate legislation and simulate proceedings of general assembly. Model judiciary program - mock trials held in circuit courts across the state. Includes appeals process. Other leadership development activities and training.
Swimming instructions for ages 6 months and up. The facility is accessible to the physically disabled. Swim team ages 4-17; rehab and water aerobics (all ages); learn to swim (high school) program; Special Olympics swim teams and swim meets; lifesaving and lifeguard courses (red cross); physically challenged middle school student water exercise.
Wellness means engaging in attitudes and behaviors that enhance quality of life and maximize personal potential. Because wellness is a daily striving toward being the best that a person can be, it demands commitment and involves regular exercise, proper nutrition, maintenance of optimal body composition, awareness of personal needs and efforts to fulfill these needs in a positive manner, and overall healthy behavior.
