General Counseling Services
Chesterfield Emergency Mental Health Services assist individuals who are having serious, life-threatening mental-health problems. Immediate attention is given to problem-solving, safety planning and assessing risk factors. Emergency Services also provide information and recommendations to callers on how to de-escalate crisis situations. As needed, Emergency Services may also refer individuals to other agencies or community services for additional support.
Crisis services are a 24 hour, 7 day a week emergency program within the Hanover County Community Services Board (CSB). Crisis provides emergency mental health and/or substance abuse services. In addition, it is the entry point for outpatient MH/SA services at the CSB for Hanover County residents who meet the eligibility criteria for these services.

Metal Health Crisis Response 24/7/365. CIT Assessment Center open several days/evenings per week. Call 664-7690 for information on assistance. Call 988 or (757) 664-7690 if mental health crisis situation. Services include telephone interventions; face to face assessments and evaluations (including pre-admissions screening); psychiatric consultations and other consultations about mental health, substance abuse and special populations that include youth, adolescents, geriatrics, people with intellectual disabilities, and people involved in the forensic system. Provides mobile crisis response and community stabilization services. Assessment for entry is through Emergency Services - 664-7690.

Assessment for Substance Use Disorders
Provided in each of the offices by clinical social workers, and counselors. Outpatient counseling services are brief in nature, often using "solution focused" or other brief models of behavior modification. Outpatient services are provided at four different locations: Main Center (adjacent to SWCC), Tazewell County Satellite Office (Tazewell), Russell County Satellite Office (Lebanon), and at the Buchanan County Satellite Office (Grundy). The Greater Williamsburg Child Assessment Center provides comprehensive assessments, substance use screening and referrals to community treatment and support providers based on identified needs. Specialized Assessments include: - Mental Health: attention/concentration, behavioral, developmental, mood - Substance Use: screening and treatment recommendations - Trauma: impact of abuse, bullying, aftermath of an event or loss - Court-ordered: mental health evaluation - Intelligence and adaptive functioning
Immediate response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for individuals experiencing significant crisis due to acute mental disabilities or substance abuse disorders.
Region Ten provides a variety of mental health services to meet the needs of our community. Services are provided for all age groups and are provided on an individual, group, or family basis. Services are also available at numerous locations across our catchment area to those experiencing mental health challenges and who may also have issues with substance use. Mental Health Services are strength-based, recovery-oriented services designed to evaluate and treat the mental health challenges that individuals may experience during their lifetime.

Substance Use Disorder Day Treatment
Offers services to children and adolescents under age eighteen experiencing problems and disruption in their home, school, or community due to emotional disturbance and/or substance abuse. Provides treatment to support optimal functioning and to maintain the child in the community and/or least restrictive environment. Services include individual, family, and group counseling, play and expressive art therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, case management, crisis intervention, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and discharge planning from state and private mental hospitals with linkage to community services. Therapy services are provided to detainees at Roanoke Valley Juvenile Detention Center.
