Crisis intervention and assessment are available 24 hours a day for persons experiencing psychiatric emergencies or at risk or needing hospitalization.

Crisis services are a 24 hour, 7 day a week emergency program within the Hanover County Community Services Board (CSB). Crisis provides emergency mental health and/or substance abuse services. In addition, it is the entry point for outpatient MH/SA services at the CSB for Hanover County residents who meet the eligibility criteria for these services.

24-bed and 12-bed units provide 24/7 supervised mental health treatment and crisis support for adults ages 18+ experiencing a wide range of concerns, including co-occurring issues when mental health disorders are accompanied by substance use. Provides: 24/7 assessment, crisis care and admission Clinical support from licensed behavioral health professionals 24/7 medically staffed environment for continuous patient monitoring Medication management Group therapy Recreational therapy Caregiver consultation Mental wellness education Discharge planning

Region Ten provides a variety of mental health services to meet the needs of our community. Services are provided for all age groups and are provided on an individual, group, or family basis. Services are also available at numerous locations across our catchment area to those experiencing mental health challenges and who may also have issues with substance use. Mental Health Services are strength-based, recovery-oriented services designed to evaluate and treat the mental health challenges that individuals may experience during their lifetime.

Offered in each of the offices by clinical social workers, and counselors. Outpatient counseling services are brief in nature, often utilizing "solution focused" or other brief models of behavior modification. Provided at four different locations: Main Center (adjacent to SWCC), Tazewell County Satellite Office (Tazewell), Russell County Satellite Office (Lebanon), and at the Buchanan County Satellite Office (Grundy).

Intensive In-Home Services provide support, guidance, and skills training for children who are at risk of being removed from their home due to serious behavioral issues. The Villa works with families to find fresh approaches to breaking the cycle of destructive behaviors. Services provided include: • Crisis intervention and diagnostic assessments • Collaboration with parents/guardians to create an effective, positive behavioral management system • Caregiver training and support • Individual and family counseling • Care coordination with schools and community resources to create a stable environment • Individualized approaches that focus on the unique needs of the child and family • A 24-hour emergency response system, including weekends • Comprehensive discharge planning • Referrals for additional services as needed

The emergency services unit provides immediate assistance to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The goals are to: Prevent the crisis from worsening Relieve immediate distress Prevent individuals from harming themselves and/or others Services include: Rapid assessment, intervention, and stabilization for mental health emergencies, including immediate supportive counseling to relieve distress and prevent the crisis from worsening, development of a safety plan to prevent harm to self and/or others, connection to resources, and peer (i.e., individuals with lived experience) support.

Assessment and Diagnostic Services (A&D) uses research-based assessment tools to evaluate and determine the most appropriate level of care.

Provides intake, mental health case management, intellectual and developmental disability case management, and outpatient psychiatric appointments for adults and youth.

Provides comprehensive home and clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Provides Crisis Services including crisis intervention/stabilization. Provides help for those in crisis, contemplating suicide or severely depressed in need of inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

Chesterfield Emergency Mental Health Services assist individuals who are having serious, life-threatening mental-health problems. Immediate attention is given to problem-solving, safety planning and assessing risk factors. Emergency Services also provide information and recommendations to callers on how to de-escalate crisis situations. As needed, Emergency Services may also refer individuals to other agencies or community services for additional support.

The Emergency Services Program provides an effective, rapid response to critical situations 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Services are directed toward adults and children and adolescents who are experiencing severe, acute symptoms of mental illness or emotional disorder, including those with a risk of suicide, risk of danger to others, and emergencies related to alcohol or drug abuse or addiction.

Provides emergency crisis intervention services to the citizens of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, Warren counties and city of Winchester.

A satellite office of Mount Rogers Community services providing comprehensive community-based mental health and substance abuse services. Serves persons of all ages. Provides public education services.

Connections ABA & Family Support Services Provides home-based and clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children and adolescents under the age of 21 who demonstrate significant impairment in adaptive functioning that is related to either developmental delays or other health conditions.

Promotes recovery for Virginia Beach Citizens and their families, with or at risk of, mental health, substance use or co-occurring disorders, through an array of coordinated services offering prevention, treatment and community collaboration delivered in a climate of dignity and respect.

Clinicians provide assessment, diagnosis, counseling, psychiatry crisis, peer support, and case management services. Referrals are made within RACS (such as to the psychiatrist) or to other professionals as necessary. RACS offers Emergency Services including: 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Services, Crisis Counseling, and Inpatient substance use treatment referrals; Mental/Behavioral Health Services for Adult & Children including: Case Management, Group Therapy, Individual Counseling, Intensive Care Coordination, Peer Support (Veteran/Family), Psychiatry, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Therapeutic Day Treatment; Developmental Support Services including: Adult day support programming, Adult group homes, Early Intervention, Support Coordination; Substance Use Disorder Services including: Case Management, Group Therapy, Medication Assisted Treatment, Peer Support; and Prevention Services including: Community Coalition work, Lock and Talk - suicide prevention, Medication storage & disposal resources, school-based education programming, and trainings: Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, SafeTALK, REVIVE, Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.

Emergency and Crisis Services are available for people who have a mental illness, substance use disorder, and/or developmental disability, are in acute distress, and need immediate help. Mobile Crisis Units to respond in the community are also available.

Rapid Access provides a comprehensive assessment to individuals seeking Behavioral Health services. Individuals are seen on a first come, first serve basis during Rapid Access hours and serves children, adolescents, and adults. Following an assessment, individuals may be referred to recommended community resources or scheduled for an appointment with a case manager or clinician depending on the individual’s specific needs.

The Emergency and Evaluation Services provides crisis intervention services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Crisis services include assessment for psychiatric hospitalization for individuals who present a need in the D19 catchment area.

Same Day Access (SDA) services are available ONLY during the times listed below. Arriving early is of no benefit.

Compass provides an array of services along the therapeutic continuum all designed to intervene at the lowest level of care necessary to prevent further disruption or disturbance to families and to improve quality of life. Crisis Intervention services offer immediate access (24/7) to quality therapeutic care and support during a crisis. Crisis intervention is a community-based service that provides brief mental health support to promote client stabilization and crisis management in the home or other appropriate settings. Intensive In-Home (IIH) is a home-based, highly supportive and comprehensive program that provides stability for children, adolescents, and their family who are experiencing a mental health crisis. By design, IIH services are more intensive than traditional mental health services as they focus on the stabilization of the child across multiple settings with the goal of decreasing future hospitalizations or other high-level out of home placements. Mental Health Skill-building Services (MHSS) is an intensive, home-based service that is designed to assist the client in obtaining independence or stability within the community. MHSS is available for adults who have long-term mental health needs, cognitive deficiencies or dual diagnoses. Connections provides home-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children and adolescents under the age of 21, who demonstrate significant impairment in adaptive functioning that is related to either developmental delays or other health conditions. Connections is not a diagnosis-specific program and children with other disorders who exhibit communication and social skills deficits in combination with maladaptive behaviors may qualify for services. Outpatient Counseling: Compass offers individual, family, and couples therapy, matching our treatment approach with our clients' specific needs. Compass specializes in a variety of mental health concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, family conflicts, and behavioral challenges.
