The Visual Arts Center offers a variety of exciting art classes and special workshops.

Provides opportunities for local artists to have their work juried by visual arts professionals from area museums, galleries and universities. Many other programs are available for members as well, including an art library, critiques, demonstrations and lectures. There are no requirements to become a member, just the willingness to participate in an active and lively artistic community.

The State Theatre of Virginia offers dramas, comedies, musicals, and more year round.

Provides galleries and studios that are open to public to observe work in progress. Media includes painting, sculpture, photography, textiles, printmaking and glass are represented. Serves as the united voice for the arts community by educating the public about the value and significance of music, architecture, drama, dance, painting, and sculpture. The commissioner's mission is to increase citizen access to the arts by providing leadership, advocacy and support for art that enriches the cultural vitality of our community.

Classes for adults and children of all age and skill levels in drawing, painting, clay, photography, glass, jewelry, animation, fiber, sculpture, printmaking, and writing. Art After School program provides a safe, creative environment for children in elementary and middle schools. Summer ArtVenture enrolls children in week-long art classes from June through August. Studio S program offers classes tailored to seniors.

Offers low or no cost music education, private music lessons for children and adults, music therapy, the Jazz Combo and Valley Voices, a children's choir. A variety of music classes called Musikgarten for children 4 months through 9 years old are offered at both Grace Lutheran Church and at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 300 W Frederick St in Staunton. The mission of the Valley Music Academy to provide quality music education to all children of our community, regardless of gender, race, creed or financial resources, while demonstrating that music is a powerful means of encouraging cooperation, celebrating diversity, building self esteem and cultivating a sense of nonviolence and social justice.

A national artists' service organization whose mission is to safeguard and sustain the careers of craft artists and provide emergency resources that benefit all artists. ART 180 provide free arts programming for young people, host exhibitions, and bring public art events and installations to Richmond.

Provides a "theater building bridges". Offers programs in performing arts and education, ages four through adult, regardless of experience. Programs include classes as well as full theatre productions. We work in two program areas: 1. Growing Stages: Theatre By and For Youth offers theater workshops and training for youths aged 4 through college age. 2. OnStage: Theatre Performance: A theater program for adults and families. TJ Art Studio provides a creative space for artists to attend classes, workshops, independent studies and Art Events.

At camp, children will engage in a variety of artistic activities spanning painting, drawing, sculpture, and more. Through hands-on experiences and guided instruction, they'll cultivate their artistic talents while fostering essential skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-expression. Summer Art Camp is a full-day one week camp.

Offers a place where students in grades 6-12 can come to play music, take lessons, and make recordings. Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Go Go are all popular. The goal is to keep kids out of trouble while helping them to discover and develop their music abilities. provides music lessons: guitar, keyboard, drums, etc.; provides use of rehearsal studios including a P.A. system; provides use of electronic music studios including samplers & drum machines; music classes; song writing, music production, etc.; Houses an extensive music library including CD's, tapes, videos, etc.; provides use of recording studios.

The Academy Center of the Arts is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting and presenting the visual and performing arts, while creating opportunities for arts education and strengthening DEIB focused events.
