Rideshare is a program of the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, working to reduce traffic congestion and increase mobility throughout the City of Charlottesville and the Counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson. RideShare offers free car pool and School Pool matching, a van pool start-up service, and operates a Guaranteed Ride Home program, which provides free rides home in an emergency to users of alternative transportation. RideShare also works with employers to develop and implement traffic reduction programs, and markets the region's Park and Ride lots. RideShare is a member of the Commuter Information Team (CIT), a partnership that includes JAUNT, Charlottesville Transit Service (CTS), University Transit Service (UTS), and Greene County Transit. A tax-deductible conduit for contributions to all City of Portsmouth Museums: Children's Museum of Virginia, Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum and Lightship Portsmouth, and the Portsmouth Community Colored Library Museum.

Provides planning and zoning services for the Town of Leesburg. Issues sign permits, temporary use permits, home occupation permits and trailer permits. Also inspects construction sites, ordinance violations, bond processing/release and tree preservation.

Healthy Roanoke Valley (HRV) and Healthy Franklin County (HFC) are partnerships of over 50 public/private health and human services organizations, education institutions, and local businesses that are working collaboratively to address the healthcare needs of underserved populations in the Roanoke Valley and Franklin County. HRV and HRC are focused on four areas identified in by a Community Health Needs Assessment in 2021: (1) Healthy Behaviors, (2) Mental Health, (3) Collective Impact/Collaboration, and (4) Access to Services (Primary Care, Behavioral Health, and Oral Health).

The office is responsible for managing the city's finances, including revenue collection, disbursement of funds, and investment of city assets. The Treasurer's Office also plays a key role in the city's budgeting process and works closely with other city departments to ensure the efficient and effective use of public funds.

ADvancing States administers the National I&R Support Center that provides training, technical assistance, and information resources to build capacity and promote continuing development of aging and disability information and referral programs nationwide.

Provides a forum for regional operations in the Planning District 10 locality. As a State Data Center, offers information and statistics on demography and economic trends. Regional planning activities include the Long Range Transportation Plan, the Rural Long Range Plan, the Solid Waste Management Plan, the Hazard Mitigation Plan, and the Consolidated Plan for housing. Responsible for the planning and coordination of higher education in Virginia.

The Crater PDC is a regional planning agency with major emphasis in the areas of transportation, economic and small business development, as well as environment issues and serving as the convener for major military-related discussions among the region’s communities.

The Norfolk Arts Commission provides support and encouragement to arts, culture, and humanities in the City. It develops policies and procedures necessary to carry out arts and culture programs. The Commission is responsible for establishing evaluation criteria for funding grant applications, artist selection, and carrying out review processes. The Commission reviews all grant submissions and evaluates for completeness, value, and equity.

MPO coordinates the transportation planning activities of the various transportation-related agencies that have both a direct and indirect impact on the Long Range Plan and Transportation Improvement Program.

Works to expand the Charlottesville tax base and to provide quality job opportunities for its citizens through new business development, retention/expansion initiatives, and workforce training. The office also coordinates and administers the functions of the Charlottesville Industrial Development Authority (CIDA). The Authority issues revenue bonds and assists with front end capital for projects.

Improve the employment, quality of life, security, and independence of older Virginians, Virginians with disabilities, and their families.

A one stop, ecumenical center designed to enhance the delivery and coordination of services among multiple human service agencies. Brings about greater collaboration between agencies and improved access for clients seeking assistance. Partner agencies currently housed in the center are: *Helping Overcome Poverty's Existence; *Mountain Community Action Program; *United Way of Wythe County; *District Three Governmental Cooperative; *Appalachian Independence Center; *Wythe County Ministerial Association

Reviews and develops plans that reflect the County's interest in the preservation of the environment, the provision of efficient public facilities and services, the provision of diverse housing opportunities, and the effective utilization of the area's land resources. Building Inspections also fall under Communtiy Developemnt.

Plans and monitors development and expansion of hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, mental health centers and other health care services. Makes recommendations to state officials regarding whether major capital expenditures, such as addition of hospital beds, should be approved.

The Department of Community Development coordinates Lynchburg's construction, code compliance and community revitalization efforts. Community Development helps our businesses, institutions, neighborhoods and residents create a thriving City through efficient plan review and permitting, thoughtful planning and preservation and effective property maintenance and grant project implementation. The VACSB is privileged to have as its members, the forty Community Services Boards/Behavioral Health Authority (CSB/BHAs) in Virginia. The VACSB represents the CSB/BHAs in state and federal public policy matters, including state and federal funding, legislation and regulation. In Virginia, the VACSB works to build consensus on policy, administrative, and operational issues of CSB/BHAs and to represent those issues and solutions to the state decision makers. VACSB advocacy efforts are undertaken with partnership family and consumer advocacy organizations. The VACSB provides training and development components for CSB/BHA Board members, CSB/BHA staff and for our partners in the private sector. The VACSB is a resource of technical assistance and consulting for CSB/BHAs. The VACSB engages in public education activities that help the public understand not only the needs of children and adults with behavioral health and developmental disability service needs, but also the abilities of and contributions made to their communities by these individuals.
