The Inclement Weather Shelter will operate 11/15 - 4/15, hours of operation are daily from 5PM-8AM, entrance is in the back of the building. If temperatures drop below 40 degrees, the shelter will remain open. Dinner and Breakfast will be served.

SALVATION ARMY’S WARMING CENTER Each evening, the Salvation Army, 2215 Park Avenue, will continue to operate a low-barrier warming center for unsheltered individuals and families in the community. The Salvation Army will provide a hot meal for individuals beginning at 4:30 p.m. The warming center also will remain open during daytime hours Monday and Tuesday.

Inclement Weather Shelter - Richmond, Surge Shelter, CARITAS

The Surge Shelter is not a walk-up shelter. The Surge Shelter will provide additional capacity and space for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness when the Salvation Army's inclement weather shelter is full and the temperature falls below 40 degrees. The Surge Shelter can be activated when those conditions are met between December 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026.
