Provides a Holiday Assistance program for those in need. Also operates the Adopt-A-Cherub program where the family seeking aid for children completes an application and a wish list. When people call in and ask to adopt children, Social Services gives the benefactor a profile of the child or children and a wish list. Names of the families are confidential.
Provides holiday assistance programs such as Christmas and Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas kettles and Adopt A Child gift program. Must pick up and complete forms at Social Services. Completed forms are to be taken to the Salvation Army to receive a Wish List form.

Provides emergency food to those in need.
Does not serve consumers directly. Consumers should contact their local food pantry or food bank. Receives donated venison from hunters, crop damage, permits, and deer management efforts. The meat is distributed free of charge to food banks, soup kitchens, church food pantries and other local feeding programs. Funds are raised to cover the cost of processing, distribution, and the overhead expenses of operation.
Maintains a food pantry for persons/families unable to meet their own needs or through the assistance of existing social service agencies.
Offers Holiday Assistance for Christmas and Thanksgiving through a private, non-profit charitable organization. First come, first served. Documentation requirements have changed. Please be sure to bring the correct items: -Picture ID for Applicant -Verification of Address -Proof of Income or No Income -Proof of Guardianship (Birth Certificate or Court Document stating you are the legal Guardian). Provides food for area residents in Fauquier, Culpeper, Orange, Madison and other surrounding counties. Nearly half of the recipients are children.
Provides a food pantry for needy families in Augusta County. The food pantry is open on the 3rd Thursday each month at the Old Earhart Store on Estaline Valley Road in Craigsville. Columbia Baptist Church support those experiencing food insecurity with bags of groceries and spiritual care.
Provides free, noontime meals five days per week to those who are in need of such nourishment and who are home-bound. Homebound folks 60 years old or older who prefer meals meeting nutritional standards may wish to contact the New River Valley Agency on Aging, the other provider of homebound meals. Their meals meet strict nutritional requirements. At this time, there are no nutritional standards for Radford Fairlawn Daily Bread meals. Program uses volunteers.

GRACE offers Christmas gifts for children ages infant through 16. Senior Christmas program for those 55 and older. Thanksgiving meal program. Pre-registration is required in early to mid-October; no late registrations are accepted.

Provides a food pantry for those in need. Serves the County of Augusta and City of Waynesboro.
Distributes grocery items once a month on the third Thursday. Offers participation in USDA food program as well as Pantry Food Program. Serves those who do not have enough money to adequately provide food for their families. Goal is to provide a variety of food including a loaf of fresh bread and a meat each month

Provides food, toys and clothing for children at Christmas. The Angel Tree program serves children newborn through 12 years old in the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Louisa, Greene and Nelson. Children age 13-17 are served by the WAHU Stocking Program and Seniors by the Silver Bells program.
Provides a food clearinghouse that collects, stores, and distributes food to qualified churches and 501(c)3 non-profit organizations. The Food Bank mission is to provide nourishing food to our neighbors in need through vibrant community partnerships and passionate public support.
