Albemarle deputies travel into every neighborhood of Albemarle County as they carry out their duties, which include complementing the Albemarle County Police Department as well as State and Federal Agencies.

Provides the citizens of Staunton with safety, protection and law enforcement. The Staunton Police Department also sponsors CYCLE, and School Resource Officer programs for the area's youth, a Citizen's Police Academy, Neighborhood and Business Watch programs, as well as a number of other crime prevention initiatives.
