Speech and Hearing Center - Washington, George Washington University

The Center provides a full range of speech, language, and hearing services for individuals with communicative disorders. Evaluations and therapy treatments are administered by graduate student clinicians who are supervised by certified Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. As a teaching center, students and supervisory staff may observe sessions directly or through one-way observation windows. Clients may notify their clinician if they would prefer not to have student observers at a particular session.

Newborn Hearing - Richmond, Detection and Intervention, Virginia Department of Health

he goal of the Virginia Early Hearing Detection and Intervention program is to screen infants, identify congenital hearing loss in children and to assure enrollment in intervention services. Infants who failed their initial hearing screen before hospital discharge should be screened for congenital Cytomegalovirus (cCMV). The Virginia Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program provides information and referral to families regarding newborn hearing screening, follow-up testing, and early intervention services.

Adults may get free eye exams and glasses by contacting the Culpeper County Social Services Department to get an appointment to complete the application to see if they meet our needs requirement. DeafBlind Services - Richmond, Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired

**DeafBlind Services** at DBVI support people of all ages who have both vision and hearing loss. These services help with communication, education, technology, daily living, and independence. DBVI staff complete special assessments to find out what tools or equipment may help, such as doorbell alerts, phone signalers, hearing aids, or personal listening devices. The program also connects individuals with helpful resources in their area. A DeafBlind Program Director and DeafBlind Specialist work across Virginia to provide support, training, and advice to DBVI staff and community partners. They also help make sure DeafBlind individuals can fully take part in DBVI programs and live as independently as possible.
