We do not have direct financial help or direct housing, we network to help find food, clothing, housing and employment for ex-offenders. Kingsway has two Christmas Programs available: - Inmate Christmas - Gifts for Inmates. Items given approved by Correctional Centers. - The Apple Tree Project - Christmas for Inmate's Children. *Deadline is December 1. Also has the Birthday Card Program for the Inmates.

This agency distributes toys which have been collected through community efforts to low-income or indigent families whose children might otherwise have no gifts for Christmas. On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, The Salvation Army of Loudoun provides a Thanksgiving meal. We prepare around 200 meals.
Christmas toys for children 0-12. Includes both The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program and the Joy Fund. Additional stockings and food are typically provided too.
Provides Food only. Must meet income guidelines. Virginia callers and Virginia cell phones must call 304-327-8167.
Provides holiday assistance programs such as Christmas and Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas kettles and Adopt A Child gift program. Must pick up and complete forms at Social Services. Completed forms are to be taken to the Salvation Army to receive a Wish List form.

GRACE offers Christmas gifts for children ages infant through 16. Senior Christmas program for those 55 and older. Thanksgiving meal program. Pre-registration is required in early to mid-October; no late registrations are accepted.

Feed the City event, a Thanksgiving Day Dinner sponsored by Calvary Revival Church, located at 5833 Poplar Hall Drive, Norfolk, VA 23502. For more details call the church.
Provides holiday assistance for eligible families, children, and seniors in need through the Adopt a Family Program. Clients may receive some holiday food and/or gifts as needed. All assistance is voluntary so requests may or may not be filled. Applications are denied if clients apply and/or receive support from other organizations, churches, businesses or individuals.
The Salvation Army Angel Tree, allows the community to choose Angels (children ages 0-13) and Silver Bells (ages 62+) from trees displayed at area malls and corporations, and purchase gifts for that child or senior at Christmas. Each Angel/Silver Bell represents an underprivileged child or senior who, without the support of the community, might not have a Christmas. Donors adopt the Angels and Silver Bells by providing new clothing and gifts for their Christmas.

Provides a Holiday Assistance program for King George residents. Christmas assistance is a community-based program designed to assist with items for children, (birth to 15), the elderly (age 65+) and individuals with disabilities through donations from local residents, businesses and churches. Thanksgiving assistance provides food assistance for families through donations from local residents, businesses and churches. Must meet food stamp eligibility requirements, exceptions are the elderly and/or disabled individuals. Number of times accessible: Once per season.

Provides a Holiday Assistance program for those in need. Also operates the Adopt-A-Cherub program where the family seeking aid for children completes an application and a wish list. When people call in and ask to adopt children, Social Services gives the benefactor a profile of the child or children and a wish list. Names of the families are confidential.
Holiday Cheer, a Christmas holiday assistance program for children and older adults. Persons needing help must sign up for gifts. Families and idividuals are matched with community resident, churches and businesses who provide gifts and help to fill holiday needs. The food pantry also helps to supplement holiday needs. *Rebecca Price is the coordinator for gifts. Deadline October 31. Serves the zip code of 22827 only.

The holiday assistance program provides food and other holiday necessities to needy families in the community. The type and amount of assistance is provided on a case-by-case basis.
