Assists homeless families with children in achieving the goal of self-sufficiency by providing emergency shelters located at: 307 North Liberty Street Harrisonburg, VA 22801 243 & 247 North High Street Harrisonburg, VA 22801 Mercy House also provides prevention and rapid re-housing assistance to eligible households in the service area.
Seton Youth Shelters' Street Outreach Program (SOP) offers all services offered within the shelters out in high-risk communities of Hampton Roads, such as crisis intervention, counseling, sex education, substance abuse education, as well as providing snacks, drinks, and hygiene items.
Single contact point for families that are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Norfolk who are seeking services. Services available include screening for placement into local shelters, applications for eviction prevention resources, and connection to appropriate service providers.

Good Shepherdof Northern Virginia provide appropriate resources to prevent or address homelessness and teach life skills required to help individuals and families return to stability for long term success. The Six Steps to Self-Sufficiency program is an intensive case management approach to goal-setting for long term achievement of stability for households.
Provides emergency shelter, food, clothing and spiritual guidance for the homeless. Also, it provides food, clothing and other necessities to needy persons in the community. The Mission provides 3 meals daily every day of the year. It also provides community outreach to non-residents of the shelter and offers services to disaster victims. The Family Services and Emergency Shelter provides families and single adults with shelter and support , including basic and intensive case management, health and nutritional programs, and other community connections.
Offers day services and soup kitchen for men and women. Services include transportation, employment counseling/services, substance abuse counseling, phone, birth certificates, referrals for community resources, clothing vouchers, laundry and meals.

The Coordinated Entry System (CES) is a process developed to ensure that all people experiencing a housing crisis have fair and equal access to available resources and services. The CES team is trained in crisis response and will identify, assess, refer, and connect households to resources based on their strengths and needs. A dedicated hotline is available to homeless residents and those at risk of being homeless to quickly to connect to help and services, 703-792-3366.

Financial assistance can be provided for to rental deposits when transitioning into permanent housing, and assisting with bus passes and employment equipment for the first 2 weeks of a new job. Provides street outreach and essential services to homeless individuals and families who meet the HUD definition of literal homelessness.
Provides a National Call Center for Homeless Veterans hotline to ensure that homeless Veterans or Veterans at-risk for homelessness have free, 24/7 access to trained counselors. The hotline is intended to assist homeless Veterans and their families, VA Medical Centers, federal, state and local partners, community agencies, service providers and others in the community. Family members and non-VA providers calling on behalf of a homeless Veteran will be provided with information regarding the homeless programs and services available. Contact information will be requested so staff may follow-up.

Provides an emergency shelter for homeless families and single adults. In addition to emergency housing, FFSS also provides payment assistance for working/job seeking parents in the emergency shelter, and expanded support services including Life Skills training, housing, children's program, parenting, job search and counseling services. The Haven Emergency Shelter is the only emergency shelter in Fauquier. This 52 bed facility can accommodate up to eleven families and eight single adults at any one time.
Engages homeless people where they are, including under bridges and in the woods or parks. Responds to phone requests to dispatch an outreach worker, when available. Sends outreach workers to the Home Bagged Meal Program sites (Oakland Park and Rosslyn) Monday through Friday to distribute clothing, blankets, and hygiene products when available. Provides limited transportation to services.
Homeless adults can get showers, sandwiches, coffee, and other snacks. Provide phones access for the purpose of seeking employment and establishing services with other agencies and have regular outreach from partner agencies in our private back office. Clients can meet with our Homeless Advocate for linkage to additional resources and assessment using the community standard assessment tool. We have many other community organizations conducting outreach on a regular basis at our Day Center.
