Crisis Intervention
Provide training, information, and resources about child sexual abuse. The call is routed to an information and referral service representative in State and area from which the call originates.
Outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment programs for children, adolescents and adults are provided at Scott County Mental Health Center. Services include individual and group psychotherapy, marital and family counseling, psychiatric services, medication monitoring, crisis services, intensive in-home services, and education and consultation services. Project LINK, an outpatient program for pregnant, substance-abusing women or mothers with dependent children, is also offered at this site. In-Home Services, Home-based family-focused services are provided for children from birth to 17 with emotional difficulties, returning from placement, or who are at risk of out-of-home placement or other services. FOOTHOLDS works one on one with children and their families to build a healthy family environment. The program helps identify obstacles, increase communication skills, structure positive home, social skills development; provides support, guidance and links to resources; and educates caregivers. Service in Scott County is provided in partnership with Planning District One Behavioral Health Services.

Chesterfield Emergency Mental Health Services assist individuals who are having serious, life-threatening mental-health problems. Immediate attention is given to problem-solving, safety planning and assessing risk factors. Emergency Services also provide information and recommendations to callers on how to de-escalate crisis situations. As needed, Emergency Services may also refer individuals to other agencies or community services for additional support.

RBHA's Crisis Intervention provides 24-hour emergency services, information, referral, and triage for outpatient services for individuals in the City of Richmond. Crisis clinicians will be available to discuss and respond to service needs. Individuals seeking services from outside the City of Richmond will be linked to the Crisis Intervention program or to the Community Services Board serving the locality where they reside.

Crisis services are designed to meet a person's immediate needs, assure their safety and connect them to appropriate and timely interventions, in the least restrictive environments. This includes rapid telephone consultation and in-person crisis assessments if necessary. Crisis counseling is also available at scheduled times in a variety of Region Ten sites. The acute teams and programs provide supportive counseling, assessment, stabilization services, as well as acute intervention and safety planning.

CONNECT is a 24-hour, confidential, referral and assessment service staffed by psychiatric nurses and clinical social workers. These teams are trained to help people needing psychiatric and behavioral medicine support. 1. CONNECT services begin with one toll-free phone call to (800) 284-8898, for an initial assessment. 2. A counselor meets and talks with individuals privately and at length to learn more about their difficulties. Therapy or treatment does not occur at this times simply a way to assess the situation. When necessary, CONNECT will contact a psychiatrist to admit to the hospital. * CONNECT can perform assessments at a physician's office, emergency room or other location that is convenient and safe for the individual, when needed. * CONNECT accepts referrals from physicians. Provides 24 hour crisis intervention counseling and referral; pre-admission screening to determine need for hospitalization; court liaison for the involuntary commitment procedure; and initial contact for sexual assault victims. During the business day, this service provides a single source for determining placement through a variety of comprehensive assessment instruments. Based on the outcome of the screening, individuals may receive a clinical assessment, short-term counseling, and/or referrals to the appropriate level and intensity of treatment, either from BRBH or other community providers. Provide consumers a single point of entry to the agency, crisis response and assessment, case management, and therapeutic services designed for specific populations meeting our admission criteria. People with mental disabilities can receive a comprehensive assessment to determine their mental health, intellectual disability, and/or substance use services needs, and be referred to the services which best meet those needs. Services are designed to aid consumers in achieving their highest possible level of functioning.

HCS is the sole treatment provider for the Washington County Drug Recovery and Monitoring Court (DREAM COURT), under the leadership of the sitting Washington County Circuit Court Judge. The DREAM Court Program is a three phase program lasting 12-24 months for adult criminal offenders who are experiencing drug and/or alcohol dependence problems. The program requires frequent Court appearances, random drug and alcohol screenings, individualized substance abuse treatment, mental health treatment, and intensive supervision. Clinical assessments are provided for all potential participants, some of which will be provided pre-release from the Southwestern Virginia Regional Jail. Appropriate case management services are also provided to assist participants in identifying and accessing appropriate systems of support.
Emergency Services is a 24-hour crisis intervention program that provides consultation services and assessment of individuals with mental health or substance abuse issues.
