The Emergency and Evaluation Services provides crisis intervention services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Crisis services include assessment for psychiatric hospitalization for individuals who present a need in the D19 catchment area.

Services begin with an intake process where you meet with one of our professional clinicians to review current concerns and personal history in order to best determine your individual service needs. A financial intake is also completed.

Region Ten provides a variety of mental health services to meet the needs of our community. Services are provided for all age groups and are provided on an individual, group, or family basis. Services are also available at numerous locations across our catchment area to those experiencing mental health challenges and who may also have issues with substance use. Mental Health Services are strength-based, recovery-oriented services designed to evaluate and treat the mental health challenges that individuals may experience during their lifetime.

Intensive In-Home Services provide support, guidance, and skills training for children who are at risk of being removed from their home due to serious behavioral issues. St. Joseph's Villa work with families to find fresh approaches to destructive behaviors, helping to break the cycle of negative patterns. Services provided include: • Crisis intervention and diagnostic assessments • Collaboration with parents/guardians to create an effective, positive behavioral management system • Caregiver training and support • Individual and family counseling • Care coordination with schools and community resources to create a stable environment • Individualized approaches that focus on the unique needs of the child and family • A 24-hour emergency response system, including weekends • Comprehensive discharge planning • Referrals for additional services as needed

Connections ABA & Family Support Services Provides home-based and clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children and adolescents under the age of 21 who demonstrate significant impairment in adaptive functioning that is related to either developmental delays or other health conditions.

apid Access provides a comprehensive assessment to individuals seeking Behavioral Health services. Individuals are seen on a first come, first serve basis during Rapid Access hours and serves children, adolescents, and adults. Following an assessment, individuals may be referred to recommended community resources or scheduled for an appointment with a case manager or clinician depending on the individual’s specific needs.

The emergency services unit provides immediate assistance to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The goals are to: Prevent the crisis from worsening Relieve immediate distress Prevent individuals from harming themselves and/or others Services include assessment, crisis intervention and stabilization, short-term counseling, psychiatric services and critical stress management for individuals and families.

Provides quality care for the citizens of the commonwealth with serious mental or secondary substance abuse disorders within an integrated and collaborative service system which involves linkage with consumers, families and community health care providers. Accepts individuals with serious mental health, ages 18-64 who are residents of Northwest and Central Virginia. Accepts deaf patients from all of Virginia and jail transfers only from Northern Virginia for psychiatric evaluation.

Provides phone and face-to-face intervention which includes crisis intervention; pre-screening for hospitalization; working with the legal, judicial, healthcare and other referral sources; and securing inpatient beds or alternative services.

The Greater Williamsburg Child Assessment Center provides child and adolescent clinical assessments, psychological testing and referrals to community treatment and support providers based on identified needs. Specialized Assessments include: Mental Health: mood, behavioral, developmental, attention/concentration; Substance Use: screening and treatment recommendations; Trauma: impact of abuse, bullying, aftermath of an event or loss; Adaptive functioning; Court-ordered: mental health evaluation

The Emergency Services Program provides an effective, rapid response to critical situations 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Services are directed toward adults and children and adolescents who are experiencing severe, acute symptoms of mental illness or emotional disorder, including those with a risk of suicide, risk of danger to others, and emergencies related to alcohol or drug abuse or addiction. Provides intake, mental health case management, intellectual and developmental disability case management, and outpatient psychiatric appointments for adults and youth.

Respond on a 24-hour basis to the members of the community while providing comprehensive and respectful intervention to those experiencing a crisis related to mental health, substance abuse and/or intellectual disabilities.

Offers services to children and adolescents under age eighteen experiencing problems and disruption in their home, school, or community due to emotional disturbance and/or substance abuse. Provides treatment to support optimal functioning and to maintain the child in the community and/or least restrictive environment. Services include individual, family, and group counseling, play and expressive art therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, case management, crisis intervention, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and discharge planning from state and private mental hospitals with linkage to community services. Therapy services are provided to detainees at Roanoke Valley Juvenile Detention Center.

Emergency and Crisis Services are available for people who have a mental illness, substance use disorder, and/or developmental disability, are in acute distress, and need immediate help. Mobile Crisis Units to respond in the community are also available.

Emergency services are available 24-hours per day, 365/6 days per year to provide evaluation and assessment of individuals in need of crisis intervention . This service includes screening individuals for admission to a psychiatric hospital (private and state-operated) on voluntary and involuntary basis. This service is available in all Southside Behavioral Health Centers.

Provides emergency crisis intervention services to the citizens of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, Warren counties and city of Winchester.

The Standard for Clinicians' Interview in Psychiatry (SCIP) is a method of assessment of psychopathology for adults. It is designed to be administered by clinicians and includes the SCIP manual and the SCIP interview.

Emergency Services provides 24-hour intervention for persons experiencing a mental health or substance abuse-related crisis. Licensed clinicians evaluate mental health and substance abuse problems and provide help as needed over the phone or in person.

Provides comprehensive home and clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder.
