Host monthly Lunch & Learns to educate the public about important topics like suicide prevention, provide Mental Health First Aid to the community, provide Resource Guides to help those in need find therapy and resources quickly and easily, and bring together leaders from partner organizations to set community-wide goals to improve mental health access.

Provides information to city residents and others about city policies, programs and services. Refers individuals to appropriate city offices.

Daily administration of the County is conducted under the leadership of the County Administrator who is employed by the Board of Supervisors. ***THE CITY OF RICHMOND HAS PAUSED APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDS TO THE WATER RECOVERY FUND*** Program can provide up to $2,500 in assistance to eligible households with expenses such as rent, health care, childcare, auto, and utility bills. Applications will be accepted until March 14 or until the fund has been exhausted. Eligible residents can expect financial assistance to be directed towards their service provider or biller, such as landlords, utility companies, and healthcare providers.

The Patrick County Administration Office is responsible to the Board of Supervisors for the proper administration of all affairs of the County which the Board has authority to control. Offers information and referral to military personnel and their families. Provides Newcomer briefings for troops and family members. Also provides airport service centers and new spouse orientations.

Assists blinded veterans to obtain vocational rehabilitation services and medical benefits through the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). Provides information on disability compensation and pensions through the BVA Bulletin and regional groups. Offers emotional support and counseling through field service representatives, who are blinded veterans that serve as mentors and assist others in the VA claims process. Represent blinded veterans before Congress and VA.

The Secretariat of Agriculture and Forestry combined are Virginia's largest private sector industry. This office and it's three agencies are committed to supporting rural economic development, preserving farmland and forestland across Virginia, and ensuring that all Virginians, especially those who are most vulnerable, have access to safe, healthy foods.

City of Richmond residents can create non-emergency service requests for a variety of issues either online at RVA311.com,, or by speaking with a citizen service representative at 3-1-1 or 804-646-7000. Requests for social services, tree maintenance, potholes, trash cans, storm water issues, questions about taxes and code enforcement, and may other non-emergency issues can be submitted through RVA311 to be funneled to the appropriate team for completion.

Local Officials Office

Offers assistance with apprenticeship programs, and occupational safety and health. Provides a Voluntary Safety Compliance Training program. Administers the commonwealth labor laws. Oversees child labor laws. Includes the Division of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety. Provides labor market research and analysis. The county administrator directs and supervises the day-to-day operations of all county departments and agencies, which are under the direct control of the Board of Supervisors pursuant to county ordinances and regulations. The County Administrator also provides administrative support to the board and implements its directives with regard to board agendas, meetings, resolutions, responsible for recording the legal business of the Board, for supplying such records upon demand for publication according to legal requirements, and constituent services.
