City of Richmond residents can create non-emergency service requests for a variety of issues either online at RVA311.com,, or by speaking with a citizen service representative at 3-1-1 or 804-646-7000. Requests for social services, tree maintenance, potholes, trash cans, storm water issues, questions about taxes and code enforcement, and may other non-emergency issues can be submitted through RVA311 to be funneled to the appropriate team for completion.

MAGIC, the Management and Government Information Center, is a special collection and information service located at Chinn Park Library. MAGIC's collection focuses on local and state government information and publications. MAGIC has specialized staff and resources to assist members of the community, including local government agencies and area businesses and nonprofits, to start or grow a business, retrieve industry information, seek grant funding, and access laws and regulations.

Assists blinded veterans to obtain vocational rehabilitation services and medical benefits through the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). Provides information on disability compensation and pensions through the BVA Bulletin and regional groups. Offers emotional support and counseling through field service representatives, who are blinded veterans that serve as mentors and assist others in the VA claims process. Represent blinded veterans before Congress and VA.

VB311 receives and responds to citizen requests for general government information or service via multiple communication channels such as telephone, online assistance, email, print, radio dispatching and emergency notifications. In addition VB311 assists various city agencies such as the Real Estate Assessor's office with their day-to-day information or service requests, and accepts calls after business hours for other agencies, such as Public Utilities and Public Works. VB311 provides Virginia Beach citizens and visitors with a single point of contact for a wide variety of city information and services: from offering directions to specific addresses within the city limits, to supplying the media with information on traffic problems. VB311 also helps to reduce non-emergency call volume in the VB911 Emergency Communications Center by taking calls not requiring Public Safety personnel, and issues automated safety alerts customized to reach specific communities as needed.
The County Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer of Fauquier County and supervises the day-to-day operations of all county departments and agencies.

The Richmond 311 Citizen Service Representatives are available Monday - Friday to answer questions and submit non-emergency service requests. Residents can dial 311 or 804-646-7000 to report potholes, downed trees, utility issues, request social services, and for other city matters. The new customer service phone number for the Richmond Department of Public Utilities is now 804-646-4646.
Police Records Section providing information (crash reports, incident verifications, etc...) to the public in accordance with laws pertaining to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act that fall under state code section 2.2-3700.
County Administration is responsible for administering and coordinating the daily operations of all departments of the County, under the guidance and supervision of the Board of Supervisors. The County Administrator serves as the chief administrative and operating officer, including management and personnel administration, financial management & budget preparation and organizational management. The County Administrator advises and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, as well as implementing goals and policies established by the Board.
The Office of the Attorney General is the Commonwealth's law firm. The office is charged with providing advice to state agencies and the Governor; serving as consumer counsel for the people of the Commonwealth; defending criminal convictions on appeal to ensure that justice is served; and defending the laws of the Commonwealth when they are challenged on constitutional grounds.
