The Law Library at Chesterfield County Public Library provides law library services to help local residents and the local legal community to fulfill their legal informational needs. The Law Library offers legal information in various formats including print resources and through LexisNexis Library Express, an online database that provides access to some legal sources.

Operates 22 library branches and an Access Services branch for those with disabilities throughout Fairfax County. Loans books, periodicals, and audio/ video materials. Also offers information, reference and electronic services.
Jones Memorial Library is a research library and archive with collections in genealogy and local history. We collect, organize, preserve and make available materials for research on genealogy and the history of the Lynchburg area. The library is free and open to researchers some services such as photocopying of materials may incur a fee. Materials do not circulate and are available for use in the library. Prince William Public Libraries has 12 branches throughout Prince William County and the City of Manassas, providing free access to books, e-books, e-audio, print and digital magazines, Digital Library, DVDs, and more. Offers volunteer opportunities at the library. To volunteer at the Library, you must be at least 18 years old and be able to help at least one hour per week. The Staunton Public Library depends on the efforts of its volunteers and encourages all patrons to talk to the Volunteer Coordinator between the hours of 9AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday (except Wednesday mornings).

The Friends of the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library is a 501(c)(3) entity recognized as such by the IRS. The Friends accept donations of books, audio and visual tapes and CDs and DVDs and records. Details of what the Friends want and do not want can be found on the appropriate page of the Friends' web site, along with information on when and how to make donations. Funds raised through the spring and fall book sales are used to support additional library programs and projects promoting literacy and personal development, and the development of library services. The Friends' newsletter, "Among Friends" appears three times a year - spring, summer and fall.
